Show Reel

Final thing left on my brief we had to put together a Showreel representing a variety work showing skills we have learnt over 2 years i had a few problems as i lost 90% of my first year work but i still feel that it was alright in the end. I used After Effects, Premiere Pro, iMOVIE and finally iDVD to burn it the process was quite stress full as time was running out. I found this part of the brief relatively easy as i was taking images and videos and fussing them into a video i enjoyed the process but personally i don't like all the work displayed in my Showreel and feel i could of presented it better.

 Premiere Pro

Above I have screen shots of the process of software I went through to complete my Showreel.
After completing the putting of the videos together in After Effects I put the music on the video in Premiere Pro then I exported through iMovie into iDVD then to burn on to DVD this completing the last bit of my Industries Exercise 3.

Another Batch Promo

After no rest constant working I have Completed Another Batch promo it will show the development of each design and the order of the ideas created. Each image displayed is the last of 7 showing the designs in full with 70 frames making the design complete or better put the video complete.

This Process was quite time consuming as i used rotoscoping technique to complete the AB promo but was a fun process to see the designs come to life quite proud of it if i do say so my self. To regards to research I only looked at ways of executing this better through Stop Motion but due to time i could not really explore as much as i wanted but still turnt out better than i thought it would. I think i could of done this process a lot quicker now knowing what steps i need to take, the designs were live images taken what i edited in Photoshop and edit them to size to help drawing them also was a long process sometimes the image sizing was wrong so had to shrink it over and over to match. Now finishing the AB promo I will return to finishing the level designs for the concept art work for Pirates Vs Ninja.

Concept Work Evaluation

After completing my first fraze of the concept work it was quite difficult at times to get the final polish look i was searching for. In the first two weeks Searching for a perfect way to execute the design was quite easy once i found my starting point, for the pirate i use a skeleton as my starting point to create the concept while also looking into films like pirates of the Caribbean as inspiration and looking at examples of other concept art on pirates. With the Ninja I though of muscle as it represents strength so I used structured human muscle pictures as my guide to shape the Ninjas body plus the poses also looking as concept art and normal images of ninja art work with a bunch of films. Now finishing this wave of work i will get back to AB Promo.

Concept Work

I decided to leave AB work for this week to focus on Martin as he is a 3rd about to finish so is more logical and respectable to try and get his work completed for his final year.

As displayed above I have given pictures of skeletons in profile views showing underneath them a view of the concept art in these poses showing the complete look. On the last image just above is a pose of the pirate character one out of two designs to be completed.

Draft Designs

After deciding what I am doing with the AB promo I have completed the first design. I have decided to use Toom Boom to do both pieces of work. I have also done the first profile design for the pirate.

So above you can see a guide line of how my project is looking. First I drew out all of the walking of both Chuck & Chris, then i got a pictures take of the designs put it in to Photoshop and Rotoscoped over it. There was 63 drawings and 9 designs so for me to know how i could split the designs equally to show the birth of each designs growth before forming I divided 63 into 9 giving me 7 so before each drawing appears whole its built up till it reaches 7 before completion.

As you see here i have now completed the design and this is how it will look after the design finishes animating, after each design has been formed I show you its true form with the colours what make up this design.
This was my base point to start the Pirate concept after doing some image research I thought to use a skeleton as my base and then I added on top of that to create my first concept.
Above is the first concept design completed for Martin and surprisingly he was happy with it i did make a few changes were there is now only one boot and a prate which is the final design appearing above.
